From the day he turned 8 weeks old, I had the privilege to have “Klondike” in my life. Named after the ice cream he loved most, he brought so much joy and love. ..he defied the odds later in life being insulin dependent and blind after age 14…but got to travel, swim in the pool and play in the home sprinkler, play in snow, play at the dog beach, car rides, drive in movies, went fishing, dog parks, got to try almost every food ,ice cream and popsicle out there, saw countless movies, loved talking to the TV when animal planet and dog shows were on, and quiet times with family until a stroke took him too soon two weeks shy of 17 years old. He passed away at home , with his mom and dad holding him , in the warmth of his favorite sun beam in the grass when god called him home…I love you Klondike, my little man. Rest in peace now.
